Our Story
Harris House
A ministry born out of real marriage, real family life, and a deep conviction that the home is where faith takes root.

Mark & Krista Harris
Harris House was founded by Mark and Krista Harris — two people who learned early that building a Christ-centered home doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intention, community, honest conversation, and daily walking with Jesus.
After years of walking alongside couples and families in their own community, they sensed a clear calling: to create a space where the wisdom of Christian formation could be accessible to families in every season of life.
Harris House is a ministry that grows from a conviction — that the home is where the nature and character of God is to be modeled and learned, that Godly parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents are the primary disciplers, and that one generation really can commend the works of God to the next. We offer practical ways and tools to support families with a desire to faithfully reflect Jesus inside and outside the home.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4–9 (ESV)
What We Believe
The convictions that shape everything we do
The Home Is Primary
The family is the first and most important institution of formation. Parents, not programs, are the primary disciplers of children.
Marriage Requires Intentionality
A covenant marriage that flourishes doesn't happen by default. It requires cultivation, honesty, grace, and shared pursuit of God.
Faith Is Lived, Not Just Taught
Children learn more from what they consistently see and experience from their parents, rather than from what they are told. Everyday habits and rhythms carry more weight in forming their hearts and lives than any sermon or teaching can ever provide.
Generations Are Meant to Connect
The older generation has something essential to offer the younger. We believe in the wisdom of those who have gone before — and in passing it on well.
Practical Theology Matters
Good theology ought to change how we parent, how we love our spouses and how we run our households. Our understanding of God, the love of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit shape our daily practical lives.
Community Strengthens Families
Families were never meant to follow Jesus alone. Walking alongside others who share the same convictions is a gift; it’s in community with others that we are formed.
